The Perfect Boss

There were about 70 scientists working on a
very hectic project. All of
them were really
frustrated due to the pressure of work and the

demands of their boss but everyone was loyal

to him and did not think of quitting the job.

One day, one scientist came to his boss and told

him - Sir, I have promised to my children that I

will take them to the exhibition going on in our
township. So I want to leave the office at 5 30 pm.

His boss replied "OK, You're permitted to leave

the office early today"
The Scientist started working. He continued his

work after lunch. As usual he got involved to such
an extent that he looked at his watch when he felt
he was close to completion. The time was 8.30 PM.

Suddenly he remembered of
the promise he had
given to his children.
He looked for his boss, He
was not there. Having told him in the morning

itself, he closed everything and left for home. Deep

within himself, he was feeling guilty for having

disappointed his children.He reached home.

Children were not there. His wife alone was sitting
in the hall and reading magazines.

The situation was explosive, any talk would

boomerang on him. His wife asked him "Would you

like to have coffee or shall I straight away serve

dinner if you are hungry.

The man replied "If you would like to have coffee,

i too will have but what about Children ??"

Wife replied "You don't know ?? Your manager

came here at 5.15 PM and has taken the children

to the exhibition "

What had really happened was ...

The boss who granted him permission was
observing him working seriously at 5.00 PM.

He thought to himself, this person will not leave

the work, but if he has promised his children they
should enjoy the visit to exhibition.

So he took the lead in taking them to exhibition
The boss does not have to do it every time. But

once it is done, loyalty is established.

That is why all the scientists at Thumba continued

to work under their boss even though the stress

was tremendous.

By the way , can you hazard a guess as to who the

boss was..?

He was none other than

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Former-President of India . .

The Garbage Truck

One day my friend hopped in a taxi and  took off for the airport , he was already running late and in a nasty mood.
They were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of them. His taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches!

The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at my friend's taxi, but this taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.

So my friend asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
This is what the driver said to my truck which he fondly calls as
'The Law of the Garbage Truck.'

He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around
full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally.

Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that
successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.

Smile and bless the ones who don't .

Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you  take it!

We Have Brains

Kindly read this fully.. Really touching one..
It was a Sports Stadium.

Eight Children were standing on the track to participate in a running event.

* Ready! * Steady! * Bang!!!

With the sound of Toy pistol, All eight girls started running.

Hardly had they covered ten to fifteen steps,

when one of the smaller girls slipped and fell down,

Due to bruises and pain she started crying.

When the other seven girls heard the little girl cry they stopped running, stood for a while and turned back.

Seeing the girl on the track they all ran to help.

One among them bent down, picked her up and kissed her gently

And enquired as to how she was.

They then lifted the fallen girl pacifying her.

Two of them held her firmly while all seven joined hands together and walked together towards the winning post........ .

There was pin drop silence at the spectator ' s stand. Officials were shocked.

Slow claps multiplied to thousands as the spectators stood up in appreciation.

Many eyes were filled with tears And perhaps even God ' s!

YES! This happened in Hyderabad [ INDIA ], recently!

The sport was conducted by
National Institute of Mental Health.

All these special girls had come to participate in this event

They were
spastic children. Yes, they were Mentally Challenged.

What did they teach the WORLD?

Teamwork?
Humanity?
Equality among all?

Successful people help others who are slow in learning
so that they are not left far behind.
We never do this because we presume we have brains!!!!

Left and Right side of The Brain Functions

Have you ever wondered which portion of your brain is the dominant one? If so, you're at the right place. The Brain has two distinct sides, or hemispheres, the Left Brain vs the Right Brain, each responsible for different things.

Our brain, like the rest of our anatomy, is made up of two halves, a left brain a right brain. There's a big fold that goes from front to back in our brain, essentially dividing it into two distinct and separate parts. Well, almost separate. They are connected to each other by a thick cable of nerves at the base of each brain. This sole link between the two giant processors is called the corpus collosum.

The left side of our body is "wired" to the right side of our brain, and vice versa. For whatever reason nature did this cross-over, it applies even to our eyes, which process a majority of their sensory data on opposite sides of the brain. The left side of the brain is often thought of as the logical, thinking side. When a person is Right Brain Dominant, they are thought of as the dreamers, the artists, and teh musicians of the world. Just because they are not as good with numbers and remembering facts does not mean that they are "dumber" than a left brain person. They just have their strength in different areas.

Our personality can be thought of as a result of the degree to which these left and right brains interact, or, in some cases, do not interact. It is a simplification to identify "left brain" types who are very analytical and orderly. We likewise certainly know of the artistic, unpredictability and creativity of "right brain" types. But each of us draws upon specific sides of our brain for a variety of daily functions, depending on such things as our age, education and life experiences. The choices of which brain is in control of which situations is what forges our personalities and determines our character.

Experiments show that most children rank highly creative (right brain) before entering school. Because our educational systems place a higher value on left brain skills such as mathematics, logic and language than it does on drawing or using our imagination, only ten percent of these same children will rank highly creative by age 7. By the time we are adults, high creativity remains in only 2 percent of the population.
The below experiment will help you understand the concept much better, try it out!!!
